She is part of the Mmeru people who originate from the foothills of Mount Meru (Tanzania鈥檚 second tallest mountain which stands 4,566 metres high), and also reside at the foothills of Mount Kenya (Kenya鈥檚 tallest mountain). Traditionally they are farmers.
